Grassfield Bands
Grassfield Band Program History
The Grassfield Band Program was formed in the Spring & Summer of 2007 upon the opening of Grassfield High School. Students attending Grassfield High School attended Hugo Owens Middle School, Great Bridge Middle School, Hickory Middle School, Deep Creek Middle School, or have joined from one of the other Chesapeake Public Schools middle schools as a member of the Governor's Stem Academy at Grassfield High School. The Grassfield Band has a rich history of success indoors & outdoors. With a concert program including a perennial Virginia Honor Band, successful marching band both locally & beyond, nationally ranked Color Guard & Percussion, multiple jazz bands, & numerous other chamber ensembles--the Grassfield Band offers high quality performance opportunities for all of our members.
