Schedule

Spring Dates
  • May 1:  Marching Band Registration & Medical Form due
  • May 1: Marching Band Payment 1 due (online via CutTime or check in black box)
  • May 18:  Guard & Percussion Skills Camp 9am-3pm
  • May 22-23, 28-29:  Full Band Rehearsals (28-29:  Guard/Percussion Auditions)
  • May 28:  Add/Drop Deadline​
Fall Dates
  • Mondays & Wednesdays: 4:30-6:30pm
  • Thursdays: 4:30-7:00pm
  • September 14:  9am-6pm Fall Camp

  • July 15-19:  Guard & Percussion Camp 
  • July 22-26:  Full Band Camp
  • August 5-9:  Full Band Camp
  • August 12-16: Full Band Camp
  • August 16:  Friends & Family Preview Show
  • August 19, 21, 22, 26, 28, 29:  Full Band Rehearsals
Football Games & Competitions (Tentative)
Dates will be finalized in late spring as information is shared with us
  • 9/28/24:  SEVMG at HHS
  • 10/5/24:  Grizzly Classic at GHS
  • 10/12/24:  VMBC Tidewater Regional at VB Sportsplex
  • 10/19/24: BOA Mid-Atlantic Regional at University of Delaware
  • 10/26/24: VBODA Assessment / Tallwood Invitational
  • 11/2/24: BOA Tidewater Championships at VB Sportspex

Registration

Member Eligibility
  • Student at Grassfield High School
  • Brass/Woodwinds:  Enrolled in a Band class
  • Percussion: Enrolled in Band or Orchestra class, part placement auditions in May
  • Guard: student at Grassfield High School, pass audition in May
STEP 1:  Registration & Medical Form
 (STEP 2:  Create CutTime Accounts (Required for EACH student, 1 parent/guardian must complete per family)
STEP 3:  Join the 2024-2025 Marching Grizzlies BAND Group
STEP 4:  Pay 1st Payment by May 1st (online via CutTime or deposit into black box in Band Room)

Colorguard & Percussion

COLORGUARD
  • No experience is necessary.  Skills will be introduced at our May camps.
  • Placement auditions will occur at the end of May
PERCUSSION
  • Enrolled in music class at GHS
  • Placement auditions will occur during May camps.  Students may be placed in the Front Ensemble or in the Marching Battery.
