About Grassfield Bands

Students enjoying music and playing their instrument are invited to enroll in Band Class at Grassfield High School.  They are placed in one of two performance classes: 9th Grade Band or Symphonic Band.  All band classes are offered only as year long classes which meet every other day on an alternating A/B schedule.

Grassfield High School offers a variety of options for students who wish to explore instrumental music.  The band classes are for the intermediate to advanced performer.  They are designed for students who wish to play their instrument in an ensemble environment, and focuses on the development of skills, relationships, and attitudes necessary for an outstanding performance.

Ninth grade students are placed in the first bell 9th Grade Band classes.  This is done to indoctrinate the 9th grade students to the Grassfield High School band program as well as begin their year in familiar surroundings.  Wind Players in the 10th, 11th, and 12th Grades are placed in the Symphonic Band Class.
